I’m Wendy Martinez-Valdes, and I’ve been in the insurance industry since 2011—a career path inspired by a personal loss that became a life-changing eye-opener. Since then, I’ve used that experience as daily motivation to be the best insurance agent I can be, ensuring my clients feel protected and cared for. After spending 11 years in personal insurance, I made the exciting shift to commercial and business insurance about three years ago, joining the incredible team at the Weedin Agency.

I grew up in Saint Augustine, Florida, and lived there my entire life until moving to Colorado in late 2016. I studied Psychology at the University of North Florida and earned my insurance licensing from the Andy Beverly Insurance School. Throughout my career, I’ve always prided myself on building meaningful relationships with my clients—not just understanding their current needs but also learning about their goals and aspirations. It brings me so much joy to be a small part of their journeys, witnessing their dreams come to life while knowing the coverage I’ve helped them secure protects everything they’ve worked so hard for.

Outside of work, I’m a huge bookworm! Most of my reading leans toward non-fiction, with a focus on self-development, psychology, criminology, and bioscience. I love learning, and I’ve even been studying Arabic for the past year and a half, with a five-year goal of becoming conversationally fluent. On weekends, you’ll often find me taking little getaway trips to quiet, off-the-beaten-path towns. I’m drawn to places that are often overlooked but filled with authentic charm and peaceful simplicity.

I’m also deeply passionate about supporting children’s well-being and take every opportunity to engage in volunteer programs that uplift young lives. Whether it’s helping with food drives, providing essential supplies, or fostering creative hobbies, I’m committed to making a meaningful impact in their lives.
