I’m Eric Weedin, manager of Weedin Agency Inc., Loveland’s oldest insurance agency, proudly serving Northern Colorado since 1956. As a family-owned business, Weedin Agency has been committed to providing exceptional insurance services for over six decades, offering a wide range of coverage options to meet the needs of individuals, families, and businesses throughout the region. My father, Lawrence Weedin, built this agency with a strong foundation of trust, service, and community, values I continue to uphold as I lead the agency into the future.

I grew up in Loveland, Colorado, and am a proud graduate of local schools, including Mary Blair, Con Ball, and Loveland High School. The community here is incredibly important to me, and it has always been my privilege to serve the people who live and work in this area.

My journey into the insurance industry began in 2002, when my father encouraged me to become licensed as a favor to the family business. What started as a simple request quickly turned into a fulfilling career. Over the years, I’ve worked my way through various roles at Weedin Agency, learning the ins and outs of the business, and today, I’m proud to lead a team of professionals dedicated to delivering the highest level of service to our clients.

In addition to my work at Weedin Agency, I am also an instructor with the Risk and Education Alliance, where I teach insurance professionals across the country. This opportunity allows me to share my knowledge and experience with others in the industry and to help shape the future of insurance by educating the next generation of professionals.

What I find most rewarding about working in insurance is the ability to provide security and peace of mind to our clients, particularly during times of uncertainty or crisis. Insurance, when done right, isn’t just about policies and paperwork—it’s about being there for people when they need it most. At Weedin Agency, we take pride in building long-term relationships with our clients and offering them support and guidance every step of the way.

Outside of work, I’m an avid music enthusiast with a diverse range of interests. From the timeless sounds of Louis Armstrong to the rock classics of Rush and Jimmy Buffett, I enjoy discovering and experiencing new music. I also play trumpet with several local groups, including Funky Business, the Foothills Symphonic Band, and the George Gray Elvis Experience. Music has been a constant in my life and serves as a great creative outlet.

When I’m not working or playing music, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Dani. We love to travel, cook together, and spend quality time with our dogs. I’m also a craft beer enthusiast, always eager to explore new brews, and I enjoy working in the yard during the warmer months.

Community involvement is a cornerstone of both my personal and professional life. I’ve volunteered with the Thompson Valley Rotary, served on the board for the Loveland Chamber of Commerce, and was the board president of the Thompson Education Foundation. I’ve also served on the advisory committee for the Family and Consumer Sciences program with the Thompson School District. I’m proud to give back to the community that has supported me and my family for so many years.
